Yesterday it rained here in Vegas! I took advantage of the full cloud cover to rescue a couple stashed pads from the wash. On the way back my Dad spotted this guy crawling around on a flat rock drinking from little puddles. This is the third desert tortoise I've seen over the years and it's always a very special occasion, but seeing a tortoise during a freak summer rainstorm? That's rare. Maybe I should hit the roulette table.
