A Break From the Rain

The New Year in Portland brings promise of multiple dry days. If the weather holds up to this then it's off to Carver. A dry spell like this doesn't come often so the motivation is inherent. Saturday cleaning. Sunday sending. That is if this post didn't already jinx it.

The ocean doesn't close on Christmas, and after realizing the coast was only an hour and a half away it seemed like the place to go.


Seaside, Oregon probably looks a lot better wearing a warm summer day, but we made the best of the gloomy town with a walk along the promenade and a couple games of pinball. Merry Christmas.

More Plugging!

After living in the Northwest for nearly a month and a half I finally decided to buy a piece of waterproof gear with a hood.
I also found a great deal on this down/synthetic layer. Both jackets are great on their own, serving very different purposes, however when layering the two up they are a perfect combination to negate the cold wind and constant rain of the city.

This blog is looking more like a catalog everyday, so I'll make sure to work some climbing related material. I'm finding though that plastic season in Portland isn't very glamourous.

Southern Nevada Bouldering: Additions

The Southern Nevada Bouldering website has been adding problems that did not make it to print along with photos and videos of new and old classics. This type of living guidebook is essential for Las Vegas with the amount of rock left to be explored. This feature also allows the community to stay updated and involved.
